Opening of the L'Etape Slovenia Festival and Village
The opening of the 3rd edition of L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the main venue in Slovenski trg in Kranj. You are invited!
The City of Kranj together with the Tourist and Culture Board Kranj (Visit Kranj), will host L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France for the third consecutive year. The L'Etape event is part of a global series under the umbrella of the most prestigious professional cycling challenge, the Tour de France, and this year it takes place in 24 countries. The central venue for the two-day event will be Slovenski trg, with the opening on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM.
L'Etape Slovenia Village at Slovenski trg
At the square, a real L'Etape Slovenia village will emerge, featuring a central podium, culinary offerings, an exhibition on the history of the Tour de France, and presentations of services and products from numerous exhibitors and event partners:

Gallery on Location – L'Etape Slovenia 2022 and 2023
As part of the diverse activities, an exhibition has already been set up in Kranj as part of the Gallery on Location, featuring a selection of photographs from past editions of L'Etape Slovenia. You can view the exhibition at its permanent location near the Kranj City Library – opposite the entrance.
INFO Point and Start Number Pickup
Pickup of start numbers for the Sunday challenges of 80 km and 150 km is already underway at selected Hervis stores according to a precise schedule. >> More info
Pickup of start numbers for Saturday's cycling events and the Sunday's Ride and Race will also be possible at the INFO point, where the registration office will also be located in the Hall of Citiy of Kranj, Slovenski trg 1.
Please check the exact schedule in the program to see when pickup is possible for your selected cycling challenge.
Road Closures
To ensure the safety of all participants, roads in the immediate vicinity of Kranj city center and the surrounding area will be closed. Therefore, we advise you to plan your timely arrival in advance. >> More info
Filming with drones
Filming with drones during the 2-day event as part of L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France is only permitted by the organizer.

Registration Requirements
Prior free registration is mandatory for Saturday's cycling events:
The number of spots for Saturday's children's and family cycling events is limited. Free registrations are available until full capacity is reached, enabled by Gorenjska banka, the strategic partner of the L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France event.
The K0.0lesari na polno! challenge is limited to 150 participants. Registration is no longer possible. Free registration for the challenge was enabled by Pivovarna Union, a partner of the L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France event.
