SCOTT Addict RC: The Official Bike of L'Etape Slovenia 2024
Proloco, the official supplier of Scott bikes in Slovenia has been partner of L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France for the 3rd year.
We are thrilled that our cycling event is supported for the third consecutive year by Proloco from Kranj, the official supplier of Scott bikes in Slovenia. Scott bikes also aided Romain Bardet from Team DSM-Post NL in his spectacular victory in the first stage of the Tour de France.

For this year’s official event bike, we selected a model that we believe is the most ideal considering the characteristics of this year’s route. We chose the Scott Addict RC, which has been synonymous with Scott’s all-terrain bikes for several years, serving cyclists well whether they are climbing, riding on flat terrain, or descending.

The Addict RC sets a new standard for road racing bikes. It is designed to meet the needs of our UCI World Tour Team DSM and ambitious everyday cyclists. It’s extremely light with the best carbon structure ever, completely integrated cable routing, and aerodynamic properties.

Since its introduction in 2008, the Addict RC has been one of the most successful racing road bikes on the market. The Addict RC is perfect when it comes to a high-performance road bike. Whether you are trying to win the biggest races in the world, chasing a virtual segment, or competing with friends on a local climb, the Addict RC increases the likelihood of victory.
Integration
The first bike with fully integrated cable routing for mechanical and electronic shifting without any compromises in performance
From the beginning of the development process, the goal was to take cable integration to a whole new level. Thus, we are proud that the Addict RC allows fully integrated cable routing for both mechanical and electronic shifting without any compromises in shifting, braking, steering performance, or head tube stiffness. This is enabled by our new patented fork design. An added advantage of our new cable routing design is that it’s easy for mechanics to service the bike. With a sophisticated layer of ultra-high modulus carbon fibers, we achieved a significant increase in bottom bracket stiffness.
Moreover, using our advanced structure design, which minimizes the number of bonding points and leaves no unwanted carbon inside the frame, creates an extremely lightweight frame.
Hollow structure
The entire frame is made hollow and has a clean interior, maximizing weight reduction.
Sandwich dropouts
The Addict RC dropouts are designed to integrate into the thru-axle system, thanks to a hollow tube allowing for an easy and lightweight structure.
Seat clamp
Our new ultra-light seat clamp weighs only 12 grams and allows for a very user-friendly carbon clamping mechanism. This enabled us to further reduce the weight of the seat post (weight: 142 grams).
Aerodynamics
In addition to improved stiffness and fully integrated cable routing, the addict rc is also more aerodynamic.
Aerodynamic tube shapes
SCOTT's patented air profile design has been applied to the main tubes (down tube, head tube, seat tube, seat post, rear seat stays) to optimize airflow and reduce overall drag.
Lowered seat stays
Lowered seat stays reduce the gap behind the seat tube and rear seat stays, preventing air stagnation and consequently reducing drag.
Integrated cable routing
Integrated cable routing not only provides a clean and premium look but also improves airflow in the front.
Comfort
Smooth riding without compromising pedaling efficiency and stiffness.
Comfort cone construction
The Addict RC has low-mounted rear seat stays that allow for a smooth ride even when the terrain gets tough. This is achieved without compromising pedaling efficiency and bottom bracket stiffness.
Belcarra regular concept saddle
Developed in collaboration with the world-renowned bike fitting company Gebiomized, this saddle is designed to offer maximum fit for a mass-produced saddle.
Geometry
The Addict RC uses race geometry that meets the demands of our professional riders and sport customers who prefer a more aggressive position and very direct bike handling. To achieve this, we closely collaborated with experts at Mitchelton-SCOTT and one of the most recognized bike fitting experts, Radlabor. This partnership allowed us to evaluate thousands of positions to find the optimal one for performance-oriented cyclists.
