Information about road closures for L'Etape Slovenia 2023
The roads and the connections to the roads along which the routes lead will occasionally be completely closed for short periods (30-60 minutes) on September 2-3, 2023.
For a safe execution of the cycling event L'Etape Slovenia by Tour de France and to ensure the satisfaction of all participants of the cycling event, the roads and the connections to the roads along which the routes lead will occasionally be completely closed for short periods (30-60 minutes) on Saturday, September 2, and Sunday, September 3, 2023.
Saturday cycling L'Etape Slovenia - partial or complete closure of roads 14:00-18:00 hours
The children's bike rides will take place in Kranj, in the immediate vicinity of the central venue on Slovenski trg, from 15:00 to 16:00 hours, in an 800 m long circle, along the roads:
Koroška cesta (hotel Creina, start)–Gregorčičeva ulica–Stritarjeva ulica–Koroška cesta.
Family cycling and cycling of all generations: 12.5 km starting at 16:10 hours, will take place on the route Kranj–Brdo–Kranj:
Starting near Slovenski trg, the route continues through the city center and leads through Primskovo towards Britof, where it turns towards Brdo. Passing the Brdo estate, it continues to Kokrica, where it turns left towards Rupa. At the intersection with Oldhamska cesta, turn left again and continue along Staneta Žagarja road to the intersection with Likozarjeva cesta, where you return to Glavni trg in the city center of Kranj to your finish on Koroška cesta.
From 14:00 to 18:00 hours, there will be a partial or complete road closure along the indicated Saturday cycling roads.
Sunday events of L'Etape Slovenia - partial or complete closure of roads 8:00-14:00 hours
Starting at 9:00 on the Koroška cesta near the Kranj secondary school, the 86 km and 136 km long routes will take place through several municipalities: Kranj, Radovljica, Naklo, Tržič and Preddvor.
For a safe and smooth execution of the race, the roads will be completely closed from time to time (30-60 minutes). Traffic will flow again for a maximum of 15 minutes between the closures. In accordance with the time course of the race, roads and intermediate junctions will be closed. All roads and junctions will be released for traffic as soon as the last cyclist passes the conflict point. Between the groups of cyclists, traffic in the direction of the race will also be possible during the intermediate time.
